Christian
Hodell
Managing Director
Christian wanted to be an emperor when he grew up.
Christian started his career in 1988 in Chicago, which was nothing like the musical, before heading to Tinseltown in 1990 to make his dreams come true. As an alumnus of the Triad Artists mail room, delivering packages in Armani suits he could not afford, he worked with such legends as Hylda Queally and Nicole David. He then met Lorraine Hamilton, widely known as the nicest lady in showbusiness. Disoriented by jetlag, lorazepam and a good Bordeaux, she apparently offered him a job. He joined her in London shortly thereafter in June 1993. He worked his way up from assistant to agent, company director, partner and in 2008 became the managing director. He is extremely proud to carry on Lorraine's tradition.
Michael
Symons
Senior Agent
Michael wanted to be a doo-wop singer when he grew up.
He is shown here making his first call to Hubbard Casting at the tender age of 18 months, having just discovered Charlize Theron living next door. He had to wait a few more years to become the über-agent that he is today. Along the way he attended the University of Cape Town where he obtained a degree in Psychology, then the Cape Technikon where he earned a Diploma in Architectural Studies. He even managed two very successful bookstores before emigrating to the UK to conquer the entertainment industry.
He is still trying to get through to the Hubbards.
Louise
Donald
Senior Agent, Commercial & Voice-over
Louise wanted to play piano on a cruise ship when she grew up.
Louise hails from Scotland and can still say "hold ma fur coat and ma chips while I bash him" in a convincing brogue. She has worked in many different professions, which proves anyone can do anything. Her titles include Director of Student Services at London Contemporary Dance School; Post Production Supervisor on a feature film; Manager of avant-garde interiors shop, Mint; ultimately joining Hamilton Hodell in 2003 to run the Commercials and set up the Voice-over Division. Think Joanie from Mad Men - don't know why - just think it. It will cheer you up.
Christopher
Farrar
Agent
Christopher wanted to be a mineralogist or a zoologist when he grew up... any old ologist would have done.
The dapperest of young men about town, before developing his magnificent client list, Christopher worked for a theatre producer. Christopher has been likened to All About Eve (..once or twice...ahem) - so fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy night.
Renoo
Zaiwalla
Accountant & Office Manager
Renoo wanted to be a tiger tracker in the Himalayan foothills when she grew up.
She ran a little cake shop for a few years, but then decided to go back to studying.
Renoo has been with us since Jan 2002. Impeccably polite yet somehow menacing, we all do exactly what she tells us to do. And so should you.
Matt
Fishel
General Assistant (part-time)
Matt wanted to test rollercoasters when he grew up.
Fresh from the catwalks of Paris and Milan, Matthew “Fierce” Fishel joined HH in 2008. Matt is a musician, songwriter & producer and when he's not in the office you can find him twiddling knobs, tinkling keys & strumming strings. (You can watch Matt's music videos on his YouTube Channel. His debut album Not Thinking Straight was released worldwide on 8th April 2013 and you can get your copy here:
CD | iTunes | Amazon). But most impressively, Matt is a retired extra! At time of posting, his IMDB star ranking was 2,010,952.
Madeleine
Charman
Agent and Assistant to Michael Symons
When Madeleine was little she wanted to be... a ballerina, the 6th Spice Girl, a wizard or generally anything that involved being in the limelight.
Having studied at Canterbury University and deciding none of the above aspirations were viable career choices, Madeleine moved to the Big Smoke to exploit her ability to "smize": smile with her eyes. Between yoga sessions, pasta-making and keeping Phillip Green's shareholders happy, she entered the hallowed halls of Hamilton Hodell in the winter of 2007. Not just one of the best new agents in town, she is also an artist's muse, as witnessed in the acclaimed video 'Alone With Maddie'.
India
Sinclair
Assistant to Louise Donald
India wanted to be a dancing silhouette in a James Bond Movie when she grew up.
India grew up in the sleepy town of Eastbourne, and whilst sleeping she dreamt that she would one day walk the halls of Hamilton Hodell and bask in the glory of its talent. Aside from being generally fantastic at almost everything, India sings as a chorister and loves touring the country for the finest banoffee pie. She also has yellow eyes, so don't look in them, lest you fall under her spell.
Alexander
Cooke
Assistant to Christian Hodell
Alex wanted to be a sniper when he grew up.
Alexander Leon Gandalf Cooke is a welcome addition to HH where he has the herculean task of making Christian look good. This Leeds native made his mark in showbiz at the tender age of 3, playing a young king at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. He has never lost that regal bearing. As a teenager, he went on to star in CASUALTY (exhibit A for the prosecution - at 6:00) and HEARTBEAT. He took early retirement at 16 and now focuses on the other side of the camera.
Clearly the manliest person at HH, next to Louise, Alexander cycles all over the world for charitable causes and is a bit of a gym nut. It is strongly suspected that he actually paid someone to interrupt his job interview to tell us how wonderful he is.
Joshua
Woodford
Assistant to Christopher Farrar
Joshua wanted to be a wrestler when he grew up.
Three broken sofas later and a fear of not looking good in tight pants, he decided to pursue a much tougher, but more exciting profession of talent management! Having swapped legal study for legal dramas, Josh has found his home here at HH. Fast becoming known as the office 'Handyman', his dreams are finally being realised!
Hannah
O'Sullivan
General Assistant
Hannah wanted to be a policewoman when she grew up, until she realised that she had no wish to deal with criminals and helmet hair on a daily basis.
Instead, she decided to dabble in Birmingham's local radio scene and endured a full year of dressing up in a variety of seasonal costumes. Whilst being chased down an escalator dressed as an elf, it dawned on her that there was more to life, so she hopped on a plane to travel the world.
After flinging herself to every far flung part of the planet, she returned with not a hint of a Brummie accent, and glided into HH as an intern.
Alfie Dandy
Donald
Top Dog
Alfie wanted to be an Ewok when he grew up.
Alfie is a Griffon Petit Brabancon. Big name for a small dog with a big heart and a small brain. He is a ratter - a much needed trait in this industry. He is very stubborn and thinks he is huge. He is quite prepared to take on a lion or even Rupert Murdoch.
